CP Ojajuni Rallies Army, DSS, Other Security Agencies in Ogun, Pushes Stronger Intelligence Sharing, Joint Operations
The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the importance of strengthened inter-agency collaboration as he embarked on a series of strategic familiarisation visits to key security formations across the state.
The visits, which took place on April 21, 2026, covered the Nigerian Army’s 35 Artillery Brigade, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State.
During the engagements, Ojajuni emphasised that modern policing requires sustained cooperation, intelligence sharing, and coordinated responses among security agencies to effectively tackle evolving threats.
At the 35 Artillery Brigade in Abeokuta, the police commissioner held discussions with Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen. Godwin Nwamba, focusing on enhancing joint operational frameworks, rapid response strategies, and intelligence-driven deployments across identified flashpoints in the state.
At the DSS command, deliberations centred on strengthening intelligence-led policing through improved surveillance, proactive intelligence gathering, and timely sharing of actionable information to prevent security breaches.
Talks at the NIS command focused on border security and migration control, with both agencies stressing the need for closer collaboration to curb illegal migration, human trafficking, and cross-border crimes through enhanced intelligence exchange and joint monitoring of border communities.
Similarly, discussions with the NSCDC highlighted the protection of critical national infrastructure, with emphasis on joint enforcement operations against vandalism, sabotage, and other threats to public assets.
Ojajuni commended the leadership of the various agencies for their cooperation and reiterated that inter-agency synergy remains critical to maintaining peace and security in Ogun State.
He added that the visits were aimed at consolidating existing partnerships, strengthening operational coordination, and ensuring a more unified approach to safeguarding lives and property across the state.
