Lagos Police Deploy Security for 2026 JAMB CBT Across Examination Centres

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, has ordered the deployment of adequate personnel, operational, and intelligence assets to all approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the state for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination.

The measure, according to a statement by the Command's spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, is in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and is aimed at ensuring a safe, secure, and conducive environment for candidates, examination officials, and other stakeholders throughout the examination period.

The statement said officers deployed for the exercise have been directed to maintain high standards of professionalism, civility, and vigilance, while taking firm action against any form of examination malpractice, disorderly conduct, or security breach.

They are also expected to work in collaboration with other security agencies and relevant stakeholders to secure examination centres, adjoining areas, and access routes.

CP Tijani Fatai urged candidates, parents, guardians, and members of the public to cooperate with security personnel and comply strictly with examination guidelines to ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state and encouraged residents to report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station or through designated emergency lines.
