RazorNews honours AIG Ochalla with Lifetime Award for Integrity in Police Service

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos, AIG Margaret Ochalla, has been recognised with the RazorNews Lifetime Award for Integrity in Police Service for her exemplary leadership and dedication to ethical policing.

The award, presented by the Editor-in-Chief and CEO of RazorNews Group Limited, Mr. Odita Sunday, celebrates the senior officer’s outstanding record of professionalism, justice, and fairness in the Nigeria Police Force.

During the presentation ceremony at the FCID Annex headquarters in Lagos, Odita described AIG Ochalla as a rare example of integrity and compassion in public service, whose career reflects consistency, humility, and commitment to national security.

He said: “AIG Ochalla represents the finest ideals of modern policing — justice, empathy, and accountability. Her leadership style and transparent approach to duty continue to inspire both her colleagues and the public.”

Odita urged her to continue championing fairness and professionalism in law enforcement, adding that her achievements serve as a model for younger officers and a reminder that integrity remains central to effective policing.

In her response, AIG Ochalla expressed gratitude to RazorNews for the recognition and dedicated the award to the Nigeria Police Force under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

She said the honour would further motivate her to remain steadfast in upholding the core values of discipline, transparency, and service to humanity.

“I see this award as a challenge to do even more. Policing is about service, compassion, and justice, and we must continue to uphold those principles,” she said.

AIG Ochalla also commended the media for their role in promoting accountability, urging journalists to sustain fairness and balance in their reportage to foster public trust and collaboration with the police.
