Lagos APC Mocks ADC’s 2027 Victory Dream, Calls It ‘Political Delusion’
The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC)’s recent declaration of confidence ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing it as “a tragicomic display of self-deception.”
The party said in a statement by its spokesman, Hon. Seye Oladejo, that the ADC’s boast that “failure is not an option” amounted to political comedy, arguing that the party lacks structure, followership, and ideology to win any significant election.
“The ADC’s claim of setting its sights on 2027 victory is akin to a political mirage, the closer they think they are to power, the farther it moves away,” Oladejo said, adding that democracy rewards substance, not “self-praise or empty rhetoric.”
According to the Lagos APC, the ADC’s internal divisions and constant appeals to its members for loyalty expose its “lack of cohesion and organizational discipline,” making its 2027 ambitions unrealistic.
Oladejo noted that Nigerians have experienced the difference between “a governing party with vision and competence” under President Bola Tinubu and “directionless groups” that surface only during election seasons.
He cited ongoing infrastructure projects, economic reforms, and renewed investor confidence as proof of the APC government’s performance.
“The ADC should wake up - politics is serious business, not a circus show,” he said. “A party that cannot win a polling unit has no business talking about winning the presidency.”
