Our Mission Is to Institutionalize Tinubu’s Ideology for Future Generations - Group

The Convener of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group, Mr. Bamidele Atoyebi, has said that his organisation was established to promote and sustain the political philosophy and leadership principles of President Bola Tinubu beyond his lifetime.

Atoyebi, who hails from Apapa Constituency 1 in Lagos, explained that the group’s core objective is to build a new generation of Nigerians who embody Tinubu’s values of courage, service, generosity, and progressive leadership.

He made this known while speaking on the vision and activities of the group, noting that President Tinubu represents more than political success but a model of transformational leadership worthy of emulation.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not just a politician; he is an institution. Our duty is to ensure that his ideology and legacy are institutionalized, that young Nigerians can learn his leadership spirit, his sense of humanity, and his commitment to service,” Atoyebi stated.

He added that the group aims to identify and mentor individuals who truly understand and reflect Tinubu’s principles. 

“This is not a typical support group that disappears after elections. We are a screening and mentorship platform for anyone who claims to be a disciple of Tinubu,” he said.

Speaking on President Tinubu’s performance so far, Atoyebi commended the President’s economic policies, particularly the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange rate. 

According to him, these policies have stabilized the economy and redirected public funds to social impact programmes.

“Before Tinubu came on board, many Nigerians suffered losses due to forex instability. The decision to float the naira has brought about balance and fairness. Likewise, the removal of fuel subsidy has allowed government funds to be redirected to initiatives like NELFund, education loans, and subsidized dialysis treatment - all benefiting ordinary Nigerians,” he said.

He further revealed that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group has established coordinators and chapters across the country, comprising professionals, academics, and young leaders. 

“We have more than 100 professors, engineers, and doctors involved. Our structure is spread across states like Kano, Jigawa, and Borno where sensitization has already begun,” he noted.

Atoyebi added that while political parties handle grassroots mobilization, the group focuses on engaging the elite and intellectual class to spread Tinubu’s ideology more effectively.

He also disclosed that the group launched a handbook on September 20, 2025, in Abuja, capturing Tinubu’s leadership principles and governance philosophy. 

“Nigerians can download the digital copy of the book on our website to better understand who Tinubu is and what he stands for,” he said.

He noted the group’s vision is to ensure President Tinubu’s ideals endure across generations. 

“Our goal is to preserve and propagate his ideology so that even when he’s no longer here, his principles of service, courage, and progressive governance will continue to guide Nigeria’s future leaders,” Atoyebi affirmed.
