Enugu CP Congratulates Rangers On Record Ninth NPFL Title
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, has congratulated Enugu Rangers International Football Club on winning the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title for a record ninth time.
The club secured the championship after a 2–1 victory over Ikorodu City in the final match of the 2025/2026 season, finishing top of the table with 68 points.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Enugu State Command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, CP Giwa described the achievement as a remarkable feat and a reflection of the club’s resilience, discipline, teamwork and hard work.
According to the Commissioner of Police, the victory has once again brought pride and honour to Enugu State and its football-loving residents.
He commended the players, coaching crew, management, supporters and other stakeholders for their collective efforts in achieving the historic success.
CP Giwa also urged the team to remain focused and sustain its winning mentality as ambassadors of Enugu State and Nigeria.
The police commissioner further assured the club of the Command’s continued collaboration and commitment to providing adequate security during and after matches at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
He advised players, officials and supporters to remain law-abiding, security conscious and promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
