Osun Decides: Lagos NSCDC Deploys Personnel, Operational Assets For Election
The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed personnel and operational assets to Osun State ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The deployment was carried out on Monday, August 10, by the Lagos State Commandant, Adedotun Keshinro, as part of efforts to strengthen security and ensure a peaceful electoral process.
Keshinro in a statement signed by Civil Defence Public Relations Officer (CDPRO), Lagos State Command, SC Oluwaseun Abolurin, charged the deployed officers and men to remain professional, disciplined and vigilant throughout the election, while protecting critical national assets and infrastructure.
He urged them to respect the rights of citizens and work closely with other security agencies to prevent vandalism, maintain law and order and safeguard the electoral environment.
The Commandant also urged the personnel to uphold the mandate of the Corps and demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and professionalism during their assignment.
Before the deployment, Keshinro offered prayers for the safety of the personnel and the success of the operation, urging them to remain focused and committed to their responsibilities.
The Lagos State Command assured the public that it would continue to support efforts aimed at ensuring a peaceful, secure and credible governorship election in Osun State.
