The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), a pet project of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, describing it as a novel, impactful and inclusive humanitarian programme transforming lives across Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Friday by its Publicity Secretary, Hon. Seye Oladejo, the party said the initiative reflects the vision of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that it has brought practical empowerment and life-changing support to Nigerians across all social groups.
According to the party, the Renewed Hope Initiative stands out as a structured social investment movement built on compassion and sustainability.
It said the programme has provided educational scholarships, grants for women and artisans, agricultural support for farmers, and care for the aged and persons with disabilities.
Oladejo said the First Lady has redefined leadership through service, noting that the RHI “is not another ceremonial project but a compassionate extension of President Tinubu’s people-centered agenda.”
The statement added that the initiative operates a federalized empowerment model which ensures that all states benefit from its programmes, regardless of political affiliation.
It noted that from empowerment programmes in Katsina and flood relief efforts in Bayelsa to youth training in Lagos and agricultural support in Benue, the RHI continues to make meaningful impact nationwide.
The Lagos APC further stated that the initiative complements the President’s economic and social reforms by addressing the needs of vulnerable groups at the grassroots level.
It also commended the synergy between the President and the First Lady, saying it demonstrates leadership that combines policy with empathy and reform with relief.
The party described the initiative as all-inclusive, saying it has deliberately engaged women, youths, and persons with disabilities in its programmes.
Tracing the roots of the RHI to Senator Tinubu’s earlier social intervention work as Lagos Central Senator, the APC said the project is an expansion of a legacy of community development that started in Lagos and has now gone national.
Oladejo said the Renewed Hope Initiative has shown that governance can be humane and transformative, adding that under the Tinubu administration, “Renewed Hope is not just a slogan but a lifestyle of compassion and national rebirth.”
