Anambra Election: Lagos APC Commends President Tinubu’s Neutrality

… Says Poll Exposed Opposition Coalition

The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his neutrality and commitment to democratic principles during the just-concluded Anambra State governorship election.

In a statement on Monday by its spokesman, Hon. Seye Oladejo, the party said the President once again demonstrated exemplary leadership by allowing the electoral process to run its course without interference.

According to the statement, President Tinubu’s conduct has reaffirmed his reputation as a true democrat and defender of Nigeria’s democratic institutions.

The Lagos APC also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for what it described as a transparent and credible election, noting that the outcome reflected the will of the people.

The party said the poll had exposed the weakness of the so-called opposition coalition, which it described as “a gathering of political opportunists united by frustration rather than a shared vision.”

“The Anambra election has shown that the opposition coalition is hollow and disorganized. It has proven that their structure exists only on social media,” the statement said.

The Lagos APC also criticized Labour Party leader, Mr. Peter Obi, over his reaction to the election, describing it as a face-saving attempt following his party’s poor performance.

“For months, they boasted about their strength, but the results have shown otherwise. A group that cannot win together in its own stronghold cannot claim national relevance,” Oladejo said.

The party expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s ongoing reforms, stating that under his leadership, Nigeria was steadily regaining stability, investor confidence, and international respect.

“While the opposition continues to engage in propaganda, President Tinubu remains focused on rebuilding the economy and delivering tangible results to Nigerians,” the statement added.

It urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, assuring that the reforms currently being implemented would yield lasting benefits.
