Customer Service Week: Lagos Police Offer Free Medical Care To Residents

The Lagos State Police Command has taken its Customer Service Week celebration beyond policing, offering free medical services to members of the public at Computer Village, Under Bridge, Ikeja.

The medical outreach, held on Wednesday, October 7, was organised in compliance with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, to all Police Commands to commemorate the 2026 Customer Service Week, themed “Going Extra Miles.”

Residents and other members of the public who participated in the exercise received free health screening, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, eye examinations, medical consultations and health counselling.

The initiative was aimed at promoting people-oriented policing, strengthening police-community relations, improving service delivery and building public trust.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, appreciated residents, business owners, community leaders and other stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation in maintaining peace and security across Lagos.

CP Fatai stressed that effective policing required public cooperation and regular feedback, urging residents to continue offering constructive criticism, complaints and suggestions on police service delivery.

According to him, such feedback would help strengthen accountability, professionalism and public confidence in the Police.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to serving Lagos residents with dedication, courtesy and professionalism, while going the extra mile to meet the needs of the public.
