Silent Heroes Awards Founder Commends FG on Appointment of Stella Din-Jacob
The Founder of Nigeria’s Silent Heroes Awards Initiative (SHA), Mr. Odita Sunday, has commended the Federal Government for appointing veteran broadcaster, Stella Din-Jacob, as the Executive Director, News, of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
In a statement issued in Abuja, Mr. Sunday described Din-Jacob as “a consummate media professional, a seasoned manager, and a shining example of excellence in Nigeria’s journalism landscape.”
He said her appointment is well-deserved and a clear recognition of her decades of professionalism, hard work, and integrity.
“Stella Din-Jacob has paid her dues in the media sector, demonstrating rare passion, resilience, and innovation. Her appointment as Executive Director, News, at NTA is not just a personal milestone but also a testament to merit, competence, and capacity.
We are confident she will bring her wealth of experience to reposition news delivery at the nation’s foremost broadcast outfit,” Mr. Sunday said.
He noted that the Silent Heroes Awards Initiative, which celebrates men and women making selfless and often unheralded contributions to national development, finds Din-Jacob’s career and values deeply aligned with the ideals of silent heroism, service, and dedication.
Mr. Sunday also congratulated the management of NTA, urging Din-Jacob to continue serving as a role model for young journalists, especially women aspiring to leadership in the media industry.
