The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on Thursday inspected state-of-the-art intelligence installations at Idu Community in Abuja, as part of renewed efforts to strengthen intelligence-led policing in Nigeria.

The visit, carried out alongside senior officers including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo (Force Intelligence Department), DIG Adebowale Williams (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Operations), and CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations), formed part of the Force’s strategic engagement with indigenous security experts, particularly EIB STRATOC, a local security solutions provider.

He said the Police under his leadership is committed to deploying cutting-edge technology, innovation, and expertise, both local and foreign,to tackle emerging security threats.

“The partnership with security experts will not only enhance the operational capabilities of the Force but also build stronger trust and synergy with communities and critical stakeholders in the security sector,” he said.

The IGP commended the expertise of EIB STRATOC and urged other security professionals and Nigerians at large to collaborate with the Police and other security agencies in advancing technology-driven intelligence gathering.

He reaffirmed the Police’s determination to deepen the use of innovation and homegrown solutions in safeguarding internal security and maintaining national stability.
