Poultry association raises alarm over imminent increment in poultry products


The Poultry Association of Nigeria has warned that the prices of poultry products would increase this year because of rising cost of raw materials, especially grains.

The South-West Chairman of the association, Doctor AYOOLA ODUNTAN told newsmen in Lagos that price of poultry feed would continue to rise if the government does not intervene.

He urged the Federal Government to temporarily suspend the sale of grains and legumes to neigbouring countries in order to meet local demand.
