Kwankwaso visits Fashola

Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso says it was the wish of the PDP to have his Lagos State counterpart, Babatunde Fashola run under the party’s platform in last governorship elections.

Kwankwaso who made this known during a courtesy call on Fashola at the Ikeja Lagos House in Alausa said his administration has resolved to kick start a rebirth and economic partnership in Kano State.

He said his visit was meant to see how to develop the two states and make the country a better place.

Fashola in his response emphasised the need for each state of the federation to develop strategies on building the nation, adding the visit was key to both states as they share the challenge of rapid urbanization.

CSP Adetayo Akerele, centre, and his enforcement team Operatives of the Lagos State Taskforce led by their new Chairman, CSP Adetayo Akerele on Saturday impounded over 92 vehicles parked indiscriminately along the highways and picking up passengers at undesignated bus stops, causing serious impediments to traffic flow and pedestrian movement in Oshodi area of the state. Akerele who was the former second in command of the Agency demonstrated clearly that he knows the job and the terrain. “This is no longer business as usual.
