Lagos appoints Dr. Abdul-Azeez Abioye Lawal as ninth Rector of LASPOTECH


The Lagos State Government has approved the appointment of as the ninth Rector of the State Polytechnic, Ikorodu.

Lawal whose appointment took effect on June 1st this year, has won many awards and prizes was the Director of the Institution’s School of Part Time Studies.

He holds a 1984 first class degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master of Science (Management) and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos.

Dr. Lawal, 50, from Lagos Island, joined the services of the Polytechnic in 1985 as a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration in 1985 and rose through the ranks to the position of Chief Lecturer in December 2007.

Aside also being lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar in 2009, the Rector is also member of Academy of Management Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management and has authored or co-authored books and papers in reputable professional journals.

He is married with children.
