The Nasarawa State Police Command has recorded a major security success following the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, live ammunition, and a suspected stolen motorcycle in the Giza area of Keana Local Government. According to a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, the operation was conducted on June 7, 2025, after the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, received credible intelligence about the movement of a suspected criminal transporting illegal arms. Acting on the intelligence, police operatives from the Giza Division mounted a strategic stop-and-search operation along the Giza–Kadarko Road.
