Easter: NSCDC Deploys 40,0000 Personnel for Security


The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abdullahi Muhammadu, has ordered the deployment of 40,000 personnel for the Easter celebration across the nation.

The service is also deploying sniffer dogs, Special Forces, Ambulances and Surveillance team to strategic areas nationwide.

Gana charged the personnel to ensure the protection of Critical Infrastructure within their localities against vandals and other criminal elements.

He also directed the Zonal and State Commandants to ensure efficient deployment of their personnel to all nooks and crannies for effective policing of lives and property against any form of attack.

The NSCDC boss urged his officers to ensure effective collaboration and synergy with other security agencies towards tackling insecurity through mutual relationship.

Gana said urged parents and guardians to closely monitor their wards during the celebration.


He said “The law is no respecter of anyone caught in criminal activities.”
